Student Librarians and Information Professionals Ireland is a non-profit organisation founded in 2015 by Helena Byrne and Clare Murnane. Our mission is to provide a platform for students of library & information studies in Ireland to explore their own research interests and  to engage with academics and professionals in the field.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between theory and practice in LIS, to encourage and facilitate dialogue on both theoretical and practical issues in the discipline. We do this through this blog and our annual conference.

If you would like to get involved with SLIP please email hello@slipireland.com, we would love to hear from you.
